Three wheelchairs of various sizes were donated to Wang Chin Yuen Old Folks home. This old folks home is situated in Bayan Lepas area and run on public funds. The Chairman is our former member Mr. Chan Kean Teong.
Besides donating the wheelchairs, the broken down excercise cycling machine was repaired and was able to be used by the residents there. Picture shows a volunteer Mr. SM Lee and some residents trying out the new wheelchairs on 12th. June.
On 13th June, another recipient of the wheelchair is Mr. Swee Kee Saw. He is 24 years of age and was born with cerebal palsy affecting his legs , neck and left hand. He is working as a lottery seller in a nearby supermarket in Farlim.
